I installed RF G3 16 years ago when my parent's and grandparent's pooled their money to get RF for me for Christmas.
OMG I AM SO EXCITED! I don't know how to cross-post on reddit, but this needs to be shared everywhere RC related. Once everything closes, run Steam again, and the update should complete. To do so, right click the Steam icon in your system tray and select Exit. If it doesn't do so immediately, you can force an update by completely restarting Steam.
In the Properties window, select the Betas tab, and click the dropdown list. Right-click on RealFlight 9.5 in your Steam Library, then select Properties. Click Update to Specific Version, choose 9.50.024 from the list, and click OK. If successful, you will see a message saying "You are now registered to use the Public Beta site until the new version is posted to official download site.". Enter the following code: PBEC#c2x8932h5cah. A new window will pop up, Click 'Technical Support'. When prompted for a serial-key, click 'cancel'. (Windows 10 flagged the install because the beta is not credentialed, but just click 'run anyway' to install) Download Real Flight 9.5 from their website here or direct download here (~3.4gB). \*An important note:* This is for a limited time only! The public beta key works until they release the stable-published version on the official download site. Laaaaame.Įdit2: Someone who already purchashed RF 9.5 confirmed they could download and use the beta. 
My guess is that you need to already have a serial-key for RF activated, making this beta only available to existing customers that bought RF. I believe this is because the supposed 'free public beta' isn't actually 'free' or available to the 'public'. Edit: I and other users seems to get an error code on step 9 below.
